Two bronze medals for the Cuban judokas in Germany

The first date of the Grand Prix (GP) judo Dusseldorf, Germany, concluded with two bronze medals for Cuba and Yanet Bermoy Dayaris Mestre.
Mestre, of 48 kilograms and Bermoy (52) finished in third place after losing in the semifinals against the Belgian Charline Van Snick and Japan Hashimoto, in that order, both by ippon.

Then, Van Snick and Hashimoto won the titles of these divisions, which brought together 42 representatives in 37 and 48 and 52 kg respectively.

Quarter ended with three wins in the preliminary rounds, before the Mexican Edna Carrillo (Ippon), Germany's Sanja Luirth (Ippon) and Argentina's Paula Pareto (Wazari).

With a similar number of victories ended Bermoy, but Kom against Ae An (Wazari), the Republic of Korea, Italy Rosalia Forciniti (Ippon) and South Korea's Kim Kyung-Ok (Ippon).

The other two Cubans who competed on Saturday Yurisleidis Lupetey (57) and Yaritza Abel (63) left out of the dispute of the medals.

Lupetey finished in fifth place with two hits before Battugs Tumen, Mongolia (Yuko), and South Korea's Kim Jan-Di (Ippon) and a blow against Brazilian Rafaela Silva (Ippon).

Meanwhile, Abel overcame the Spanish Yahira Aguirre (Ippon) and then lost to South Korea's Da-Woon Joung (Wazari).

Today the Belgian Van Snick triumphed in the 48, the Japanese Hashimoto (52) and Kaomi Matsumoto (57) and South Korea's Da-Woon Joung.

Among men the scepter fell on the South Korean Jang Jin-Min (60) and Ki Chun Wang (73) and the Russian Alim Gadanov (66).

Tomorrow will come to the mat, Onix Cortes (70), Yalennis Castillo (78), Idalis Ortiz (+78), Oreidis Despaigne (100), Joseph Alexis Armenteros (100) and Oscar Braison (+100).

Cuba appears in eighth place in the overall standings by country, with two bronze medals, overtaken by South Korea (3-0-1), Japan (2-2-1), Russia (1-1-0), Belgium (1-0-0), Mongolia (0-3-1), France (0-1-2) and Germany (0-0-2).
